The Loom, Then Your Doorstep

In Andipatti, near Theni, families have worked the handloom for generations. Their sarees usually pass through three or four hands before a shop sells them, and the weaver sees the smallest share of what you pay. F2C buys straight off the loom, so the person who wove your saree is paid properly and you pay close to what the cloth is actually worth. Pandhini, Maheswari silk cotton, Mul Mul, Chettinad and batik kolam prints, all pure cotton, all woven by hand.
